Everybody knows by now that reggae has advanced to a big thing in Germany nowadays. This didn't happen by a matter of one night, but took years of preparatory work. Cla.at took the opportunity to speak with someone who was among the first to pave the way for reggae in Germany: Gerd Gummersbach, founder of one of the first German soundsystems, ex-owner of an excellent recordstore and nowadays staff-member of the riddim magazine. The interview is German-only due to lack of time, English version may come up later if there is enough demand.
