Montego Bay, Jamaica - April 2006 - Irish and Chin, Inc. keeps the fire burning with their large scale sound clashes. Their World Clash series of events, which have become wildly popular over the past several years, attract thousands of people and continuously bring sound clash culture to the forefront.

Well, in preparation for one of the first german clashes that features an international set of artists - you maybe already heard of " Euro Sound War 2006" - each sound had the chance to give a īlil interview and set their mark for the upcoming war. Read on for interviews and further information..

After a long night LP international won the annual german Riddim-Soundclash held in Munich, Germany. Contestants this year were Immortal (UK), Caveman (JA), Supersonic (GER) and LP. First sound to go was Caveman with Immortal following in the next round. The final Dub fi Dub was between LP and Supersonic with a lean headstart by LP over Supersonic.

Itīs almost impossible to believe, but internationally probably yet not too well-known soundsystem Sentinel Sound from Stuttgart, Germany took the World Clash trophy after a heavy battle with giants like Desert Storm (CA), Immortal (UK), Mighty Crown (JAP), Bass Odyssey (JA) and Black Kat (US) who dropped flat in aforesaid order. Sentinel had a final one-on-one with Black Kat who had to appear without Squingy in a Best-of-11 Dub fi Dub round.

Congratulations from Claat.com to Sentinel for not only being the first german but also the first european sound to ever take the trophy home!

Niceup.com currently announced the recent death of one of the greatest singers and musicians, namely Justin Hinds. Justin Hinds was just some weeks ago diagnosed to have cancer. This is another great loss on the list of artists that died in the last few months. Our deepest sympathy goes to his family and friends, we will miss a great inspiration. It seems as if 2004 gunmen killings which hit the reggae scene hard, would continue in 2005 with latest victim Gerald Levy, to the public better known as "Bogle" since he invented the self-entitled dance in the early 1990s with an ongoing series up to the latest "Row like a Boat" dance moves.

What began with a dispute at the weekly "Weddy Weddy Wednesday" dance at Stonelove Headquarter in Kingston, ended up in Bogle leaving the dance, riding to a gas station and getting shot by two men on a bike pulling over and showering the car. Bogle was killed nearly instantly, the four people accompanying him were also shot, with one woman receiving just light wounds and the others seriously getting injured.

It might sound like a dirisive comment, but itīs not - Claat.com had the same experience some years ago. But it seems that the forums of germanyīs N°1 Print-Reggaezine " RIDDIM" just got hacked on Thursday9th to Friday 10th in the morning by some prick calling himself "Skyhell".

The Recording Industry Association of Jamaica Limited/RIAJam is calling on all Jamaicans at home and abroad as well as all fans and supporters of Jamaican music around the world to take a stand in support of positive Jamaican music which continues to entertain, inform and inspire millions of people around today as it has done for the past 50 years.

The word is out that the Sting Reggae show is on, but with at least one of last year's sponsors gone, organisers Supreme Promotions are in a cautious mood as they try to stage the embattled event.
At a press conference on the 16 of November, Supreme Promotions, the organisers of the show, will officially announce plans for this year, despite claims last year that they would not stage the event.
In an interview with the Gleaner, Isaiah Laing, CEO of Supreme Promotions, gave the reasons for their change of heart.

On Friday, Oct 16th german Riddim-Magazine held their second annual Riddim SoundClash in Munich. Amongst the contestants were Ricky Trooper (JA), Freddy Krueger (JA), One Love Highpawa (IT) and SuperSonic (GER). Freddy had to go after round two, Trooper dead third round, so the final Dub fi Dub was up to be decided between One Love and Supersonic and the last of them finally took the trophy.

Congrats to the RIDDIM team for a great clash! Looking forward to 2005 and wishing all the best for a working stream then ;)

According to latest information from Riddim Magazine Killamanjaro Soundsystem owner Mr. Noel Harper confirmed via phone that long time disputed Freddy Krueger is no longer Jaroīs frontman. The same articles says, that Mr. Harper was not willing to comment the situation that led to this decision but confirmed that Killamanjaro continuing with Genius, Tony Hype and Crazy D in the future which they currently had the chance to prove in Trinidad and Japan.

Quan Luv, a talented NY-based Dancehall dancer, to the one or other maybe already known as the primary dancer in the vids of Wycelf Jeanīs "Party to damiscus remix" and Elephant Manīs "Pon Di River" is bringing you the first dancehall reggae movie.
The movie is about a dance group from NY who dances to dancehall reggae and want to prove to all crew that they are the best dancehall crew out there. They go club hopping and enter dance competitons to battle it out. In the movie you'll see all the new dances plus brand new never been seen exclusives.

The legendary producer and Sound System owner Clement 'Coxsone' Dodd died yesterday at age 72 in Kingston, JA. Dodd was one of the pioneers in the jamaican Sound System-culture, running "Sir Coxsone's Downbeat" in the 50s; in 1963 he founded Studio One and went on to produce many of Reggaes best-known and most-played Riddims, such as Real Rock, Answer, Rougher Yet, Love Me Forever, Vanity...
Condolences go to his wife, Norma, and his six children.

Yes, "Death before Dishonour" has a winner and the name is Black Kat the "War Tanker" from Jamaica. So Kat has already won Jamaica World Clash, UK Cup Clash and now claims the third WC Trophy in a row in 2004. Congratulations for sure with all due respect!

Question is: Will this serie continue for long? And will that also pave the way for Black Kat being the Soundsystem to lead the Jamaican Olympic Athletic Team on their Road to Athens? (According to update: Yes, they are!) However, Clashbiz in 2004 seems to become more and more interesting and surprising again for good..

Paul Tyrell, executive director of Shocking Vibes, the promotion company after Beenie Man amongst other artistes was shot dead on Tuesday, February 24 in Kingston. Read on for recent info and updates on that case.

DJ Beenie Man (real name Moses Davis) had a severe car accident today at about 3:45 a.m. Driving on the Nelson Mandela Highway near Spanish Town, Beenie apparently lost control of his vehicle, a Hummer H2, which overturned as he was trying to drive a turn.
