Caramelo & Criminal

---

Munich based and latin-america derived brothers Caramelo & Criminal release their Double-A-Side "Politicos/La Mina" as a teaser for the upcoming album "Caramelo Criminal". Just as the 7", their complete album will be in spanish language and is completely produced by Hamburg based Producers & Soundsystem Silly Walks Team who are probably already well-known through their productions with german reggae superstar Gentleman.

The 7" prooves to be a nice preview for the upcoming LP. Where the A-side goes with a nice rocksteady riddim, the B-Side featuring Sillywalks MC Lobstarr nearly solely goes with a acoustic guitar. The whole LP features Spanish lyrics only, which is in fact interesting as both artists are also part of the dancehall project Raggabund where they exclusively feature german dancehall.
As if this wasn´t already enuff, both brothers are also taking part in different projects: Don Caramelo is frontman of the Band Les Babacools who successfully invented their very own style uniting Salsa, Rap and Rock with Reggae music. His Brother El Criminal on the other hand is member of germany´s first Reggaeton/ Cumbia Soundsystem named ClanDestino and additionally being active as a singer/songwriter under the alias Paco Mendoza. This makes both artists as well as the whole album very versatile and a good choice for everyones collection.
