Kingstone releases "The Truth" and "Senorita" Riddim Samplers

Cologne based Kingstone Entertainment, who already made their mark on germany´s soundsystem scene over the past 9yrs, are about to release their latest two riddims, namely the "Señorita" and "The Truth"-Riddims - in a good tradition as one-riddim samplers. Featured are german and swiss artists as well a good amount of well-known jamaican artistes that were already successfully featured on numerous tours promoted by Kingstone Entertainment!

Appearing on Kingstone Entertainment is their smash-hit Riddim "Señorita" which not only hit germany hard with Gentleman´s ft. Mustafa Sandal "Isyankar" and made a mark on the international reggaescene with T.O.K.'s "Runaway" but also got regular airplay on jamaican and international radiostations as well as on Air Jamaica's boardradio. This Riddim was originally produced by Benni Blanko as Kingstone Entertainment's first release and features T.O.K., Buccaneer, Bruce Barron, Red Rat, Ce´Cile, Lazy Youth, Mustafa Sandal ft. Gentleman as well as a "Señorita Megamix" and a Riddim Version plus yet unreleased tracks by Loogaman, Daddy Maza and Danny English. This full riddim set appears on CD for the first time as a CD-Digipack.

Kingstone's Señorita is for sure a treat as a first production, but features such a characteristical guitar and bassline, that it seems nearly impossible to listen through more than three to four tunes at a time. Not to get me wrong - there´s nothing bad with this release: it´s well produced, has a fine and varied selection going along with a perfect presentation and features well-selected international artists. It´s just that... it...well, becomes a bit exhausting to listen to such a powerful party-riddim in one long session. For anyone who needs to catch up with missing riddims in his box - this is the perfect selection to complete your archives!

With Kingstone's second release "The Truth", producer, artist and soundsystem-selektor "Lazy Youth" delivers a fine, modern OneDrop-riddim with added live horns and guitars. Besides some of the artists that were already featured on the latter riddim-album there are also some new artists like Shocking Murray, Mr. Easy, Terry-Lynn, Tolga, Phenomden, Mamadee or Voicemail making their appearance on this release. Once again there is a "Truth Horns Mix" and a riddim-version coming along with the other versions in a nice CD-Digipack.

Where "Señorita" seems a bit boring after a while with it´s very distinguishing uptempo-composition, "The Truth" profits from it´s very distinctive extravaganza realized through the already mentioned live horns and guitars. While "Señorita" is more or less just built for the dancehall, "The Truth" delivers it´s full potential not until you listen to it for a few times and will therefore stay longer on my personal playlist than it´s predecessor..
