Do you remember late 2004´s Crystal Woman Riddim? Well, just about one year later Rootdown Music has a massive reissue with that very successful Riddim releasing a Crystal Woman GSA One Riddimsampler and a Crystal Woman / Musik Splice-Riddimsampler.

In case you ever wondered what GSA might stand for: Germany, Switzerland, Austria - it´s just that simple. And yes, you´re guessing right now: Crystal Woman GSA means that only artists from those countries - but not only performing in these languages - are featured on Rootdown Musics latest One Riddim Sampler. Amongst those are mostly well-known names from the label itself like Mellow Mark, Nattyflo, Nosliw, Mono & Nikitaman but also fresh blood from Switzerland with Phenomden for example whose track you can also find on his own new longplayer.

The riddim itself should need no further explanation as it was already designed in 2002 and released in 2004. Most of the tunes were already available within the original 7" selection with just few new additions on the sampler now. If you like that riddim and/or want to get a good impression of Europe´s upcoming Dancehall-talents this CD is for sure worth buying.

So if you still haven´t had enough Crystal Woman or in case you´re asking yourself what might have happened to the international artists that also appeared on the original first set of 7", then Rootdown had a surprise for us just after releasing their Crystal Woman GSA Riddim Compilation: A Two Riddim Sampler featuring the international cast of artists on the "Crystal Woman" and their more recent "Musik" riddim. Yet absolutely unreleased are two tunes by Lloyd Brown and Cali P.

The splicing of those two riddims on one samplers makes this release a bit more attractive than the Crystal Woman GSA release - at least in my eyes and probably also for the avarage consumer. In either case once again a solid release from Rootdown Records that´s worth buying.
